The Digital Transformation Project Manager is a pivotal leader driving the our clients site’s journey toward Factory 4.0. This role is responsible for coordinating a portfolio of digital transformation initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, optimise manufacturing processes and support the organisation’s commitment to innovation and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of digital technologies, project and portfolio management, and regulated manufacturing environments, ideally within biopharmaceutical or advanced manufacturing settings.

The Digital Transformation Project Manager is a pivotal leader driving the our clients site’s journey toward Factory 4.0. This role is responsible for coordinating a portfolio of digital transformation initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, optimise manufacturing processes and support the organisation’s commitment to innovation and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of digital technologies, project and portfolio management, and regulated manufacturing environments, ideally within biopharmaceutical or advanced manufacturing settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate a portfolio of digital transformation projects, liaising with above-site teams and SMEs to represent the Westport site.
- Collaborate with site leadership to develop and implement digital strategies aligned with operational and business objectives.
- Work cross-functionally with IT, Operations, Regulatory Affairs and Quality to gather requirements and ensure alignment on project goals.
- Drive value analysis and business case development for both new and existing digitalisation initiatives.
- Own and/or support financial long-range planning and capital acquisition processes.
- Communicate project status, risks, milestones and benefits to stakeholders at all levels.
- Develop and implement effective change management strategies to ensure strong user engagement and adoption.
- Represent the business/site in the deployment of digital tools and technologies, contributing to system architecture and configuration discussions as the operational voice.
- Lead cross-functional project teams to deliver projects on time, within scope and with strong stakeholder engagement.
- Define, track, and monitor KPIs to measure the success and sustainability of digital initiatives.
- Ensure all initiatives comply with relevant regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in digital transformation and project management, preferably in manufacturing or biopharmaceutical environments.
- Experience with financial planning, budgeting, and business case development.
- Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Strong interest in or knowledge of digitalisation and operational excellence (e.g. IoT, AI, robotics, Industry 4.0).
- Excellent project and portfolio management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and cross-functional resources.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Certifications such as Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, PMP, or Industry 4.0–related credentials.
- Experience delivering Industry 4.0 or digital manufacturing projects in regulated environments.
