The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Health & Safety professional who is passionate about driving a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining effective health, safety and environmental policies while ensuring compliance with Irish and EU legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and review HSE policies and procedures in line with legislation and best practices.
- Act as a trusted advisor on health and safety matters to management and employees.
- Engage with Safety Committees and Representatives to promote best practice and compliance.
- Champion a positive and inclusive health & safety culture across the organisation.
- Deliver HSE training (onboarding, compliance, updates, new requirements).
- Conduct audits, inspections and risk assessments, ensuring corrective actions are followed through.
- Lead incident/accident investigations, providing data-driven insights for prevention.
- Oversee emergency planning, including evacuation drills and readiness checks.
- Prepare and present safety reports and metrics to senior management.
What we’re looking for
- Third-level qualification in Health & Safety (or recognised equivalent).
- 2–3 years’ experience as a Safety Officer (manufacturing experience an advantage, not essential).
- Strong knowledge of Irish & EU health & safety legislation.
- Experience in risk assessments, audits and training delivery.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and engage at all levels.
- Self-motivated, proactive and solutions-focused professional.
