We’re seeking a Junior Technical Author to join an innovative and fast-paced engineering environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in producing high-quality technical documentation that supports the testing, installation, and maintenance of advanced electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain test documentation in both Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF formats for use with in-house engineering applications.
- Validate and request equipment service tags through the company’s internal database.
- Generate Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) documentation.
- Compile Operation & Maintenance Manuals and Training Manuals.
- Produce accurate and detailed technical reports.
- Collaborate closely with production and project management teams across Ireland and the UK.
- Assist in employee training and process improvement initiatives.
- Manage and update the internal product documentation library.
Requirements:
- Relevant third-level qualification (a background in electrical engineering or electrical trade is advantageous).
- 1–2 years’ experience in an electrical manufacturing or engineering environment preferred (but not mandatory).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving.
- Excellent computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand electrical engineering drawings.
- A team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Full driving licence and eligibility to work in Ireland.
