Seeking an experienced R&D professional to drive early-stage innovation and develop new product concepts and technologies. The role involves leading and supporting cross-functional teams from clinical need through to concept and prototype development.

Overview
Seeking an experienced R&D professional to drive early-stage innovation and develop new product concepts and technologies. The role involves leading and supporting cross-functional teams from clinical need through to concept and prototype development.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate clinical needs into device concepts and prototypes in line with human factors and regulatory requirements.
- Research and evaluate new technologies to enhance the product portfolio.
- Provide technical support to NPD, Marketing, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams.
- Lead or support cross-functional project teams.
- Manage project schedules, risks, and deliverables.
- Prepare financial justifications for project approvals.
- Review vendor offerings and source materials/components.
- Support product introductions, trials, and patent activities.
- 8 years’ industry experience, preferably in medical devices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or related discipline (Master’s/PhD preferred).
- Strong innovation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with human factors, product design, and prototyping.
- Good knowledge of medical device regulations and quality systems.
- Strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills.
- SolidWorks/3D modelling experience (preferred).
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
