We are seeking a professionally qualified Management Accountant to join our clients manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in cost accounting, budgeting and financial analysis within a manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in supporting management decision-making by providing accurate and timely financial information, cost control insights, and operational reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts for the plant, highlighting variances and trends.
- Develop and maintain costing models for products, processes and projects, including standard costing and variance analysis.
- Monitor and control plant operating costs, identifying areas for efficiency improvements and cost reduction.
- Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts and financial plans, liaising closely with production, procurement, and supply chain teams.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and operational improvements.
- Conduct profitability analysis by product line, department, and customer segment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and accounting standards (e.g., IFRS or GAAP).
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and tax reviews.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CPA).
- Proven experience as a Management Accountant in a manufacturing environment (typically 3–5 years or more).
- Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory valuation, and manufacturing processes.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
