We are seeking a Product Regulatory Manager to lead the regulatory strategy for a leading international manufacturer of safety-critical electronic products. This is a pivotal role, ensuring products meet global standards and approvals, while driving compliance across the full product lifecycle.
The Role As Product Regulatory Manager, you will:
Responsibilities:
- Define, implement, and maintain a comprehensive global regulatory compliance strategy.
- Monitor and interpret emerging international standards and directives (e.g., CPR, RED, LVD, EMC, RoHS, WEEE, UKCA, UL, CE, BSI, VdS).
- Guide R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Sales, and Marketing teams on compliance throughout the product lifecycle.
- Manage all product approvals and certifications for new and existing products.
- Act as the primary contact for Notified Bodies, regulatory authorities, and certification agencies.
- Lead regulatory audits, inspections, and assessments.
- Maintain robust documentation and ensure compliance is embedded within the company’s Quality Management System (ISO 9001 or equivalent).
- Support post-market surveillance, compliance monitoring, and recall processes if required.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Law, or a related technical field.
- At least 3 years of experience in a dedicated regulatory role within manufacturing (electronics or regulated consumer goods preferred).
- In-depth knowledge of international product regulatory frameworks and standards (CPR, RED, LVD, EMC, RoHS, WEEE, REACH, UKCA, UL, BSI, VdS).
- Hands-on experience managing complex product approvals and working with Notified Bodies.
- Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 or similar).
- Excellent communication skills, able to simplify complex compliance requirements for a range of stakeholders.
- Strong organisation, attention to detail, and project management skills.
- A proactive and collaborative mindset, with the ability to work independently.
