We are currently seeking an experienced Project (Automation) Engineer to join a dynamic and growing engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a range of high-impact projects involving automation, aseptic processing, and manufacturing equipment within a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the delivery of processing equipment to site in line with project scope and timelines
- Oversee equipment installation and service hook-ups in collaboration with vendors and engineering teams
- Support or lead Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) activities
- Ensure all equipment documentation is completed and maintained
- Commission equipment in preparation for validation activities
- Develop training materials and maintenance protocols
- Report project progress and provide technical support to the Project Manager
- Contribute to cross-functional problem-solving in manufacturing, aseptic processing, and packaging
- Drive process improvement initiatives across the business
- Lead project review meetings and participate in regular operational and departmental meetings
Requirements:
- Degree qualification in Engineering, Automation, Science, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a relevant engineering role
- Experience in medical device or pharmaceutical industries is advantageous but not essential
- Project management experience is desirable
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Skills & Experience:
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Experience working on equipment or process-related projects
- Exposure to regulated environments (GxP/GMP) preferred
- Familiarity with manufacturing systems
- Knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows platforms
- Flexible approach to support production needs when required
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
