Position Summary
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced R&D / Design Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and continuous improvement of innovative medical products. The successful candidate will play a key role in product development — from concept through to prototype, testing, and final implementation — working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, compliant medical device solutions.

Position Summary
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced R&D / Design Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and continuous improvement of innovative medical products. The successful candidate will play a key role in product development — from concept through to prototype, testing, and final implementation — working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, compliant medical device solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop new medical products from concept to production.
- Evaluate product and process performance, maintaining all required documentation and records.
- Select appropriate raw materials, components, and suppliers in line with project needs.
- Fabricate prototypes and conduct testing to verify design performance.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with Project Managers and customers on project progress.
- Serve as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced colleagues.
- Drive continuous improvement in products and processes.
- Perform other duties as required by project or management needs.
- Comply with all relevant Health & Safety requirements.
Ideal candidates will have most or all of the following qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline (essential).
- 5+ years of experience in a similar R&D or Design Engineering role (essential).
- Experience working in a medical device or regulated environment (advantageous but not essential).
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
- Highly motivated, self-starting, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated ownership and accountability for tasks through to completion.
- Proficiency in a high-end CAD system, ideally SolidWorks.
- Hands-on approach to design, prototyping, and fabrication.
- Understanding of and ability to work to international medical device regulations.
