Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Engineers and Technicians, fostering collaboration, innovation, and technical excellence.
- Apply your deep knowledge of laser processing technologies—particularly laser welding and laser cutting—to drive manufacturing performance and product quality.
- Manage New Product Introductions (NPI), ensuring a seamless transition from prototype to full-scale production.
- Champion Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to achieve tangible improvements in quality, cost, delivery, and service.
- Take a structured, data-driven approach to troubleshoot and resolve complex manufacturing challenges.
- Identify, evaluate, and implement emerging process technologies to enhance competitiveness and operational efficiency.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development within your team through coaching, mentoring, and training initiatives.
- Contribute to the success of a global leader in the medical device industry, with opportunities to influence innovation and growth.
- Bachelor’s degree (Level 8 or equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years’ practical engineering experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment.
- Proven expertise in laser processing, including laser welding and cutting, with a track record of advancing manufacturing capabilities.
- Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, with the ability to develop and inspire high-performing teams.
- Strong background in continuous improvement, focused on enhancing efficiency and optimizing processes.
- Skilled in data analysis and structured problem-solving to address technical and operational challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to cross-functional teamwork.
- Additional qualifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or Project Management are highly advantageous.
