We are recruiting a Test Technician to join a leading manufacturing organisation as part of their Test Engineering team. This role provides first-line technical support for Automated Test Equipment (ATE) across production facilities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical/electronics background with a hands-on attitude and a passion for problem-solving and continuous improvement.

We are recruiting a Test Technician to join a leading manufacturing organisation as part of their Test Engineering team. This role provides first-line technical support for Automated Test Equipment (ATE) across production facilities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical/electronics background with a hands-on attitude and a passion for problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on technical support to production teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, and Pneumatic faults.
- Ensure ATE test equipment is maintained in optimal working condition, focusing on quality, output, and yield.
- Assist in the installation, setup, and commissioning of new production test equipment.
- Support calibration activities of test measurement equipment as required.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and proactively resolve recurring issues.
- Escalate issues to second-level support when necessary.
- Follow clear direction and support overall department goals.
Requirements:
- Demonstrable electronics and/or electrical training or experience.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Computer literacy is essential.
- Workshop machining skills (advantageous).
- Strong enthusiasm, motivation, and a positive attitude.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable performing occasional manual labour.
- Capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
- Quality-focused mindset with attention to detail.
- Ability to follow specific instructions.
