Job Summary:The Delta V Specialist will be responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Emerson Delta V Distributed Control Systems (DCS) in a manufacturing or industrial environment. The role involves working closely with process engineers, automation teams, and IT specialists to ensure system reliability, compliance, and optimal performance.

- Design, develop, and implement Delta V DCS solutions for process automation.
- Perform system configuration, software updates, and patch management.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Delta V hardware and software.
- Develop and maintain control strategies, batch processes, and automation logic.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support commissioning, validation, and startup activities.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations (GMP, FDA, GAMP5) and internal quality standards.
- Perform system backups, disaster recovery planning, and cybersecurity measures.
- Train and support end-users on system functionality and best practices.
- Document changes, system modifications, and operational procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Chemical, Automation, or related field) or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Delta V DCS in a manufacturing or regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of process automation, control strategies, and batch processing.
- Experience with system troubleshooting, configuration, and tuning.
- Understanding of network architecture, PLC integration, and industrial protocols.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance in pharmaceutical or biotech industries (if applicable).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Delta V certification or Emerson training courses.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or chemical manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of scripting, SQL databases, or MES integration.
- Experience with virtualized environments and cybersecurity best practices.
- Office and on-site work in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Availability for on-call support and occasional travel may be required.
