We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will gain exposure to a wide range of electrical and mechanical engineering disciplines, with structured mentoring and opportunities to develop both technical and commercial skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Create 3D mechanical designs of switchboards and associated products, ready for production and fabrication.
- Ensure drawings issued to the production team are controlled, accurate, and easy to follow.
- Provide technical support to production and test teams for new and existing product designs.
- Assist with shop floor operations, site activities, and client witness testing as required.
- Collaborate with project management to develop and maintain a library of standard drawings.
- Conduct occasional client site visits for surveys.
- 3rd level degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Experience in mechanical design within a commercial or industrial environment.
- Proficient in 3D CAD software (Autodesk Inventor & Vault preferred).
- Experience in sheet metal design is desirable.
- Ability to read schematics and work across multiple engineering disciplines.
- Strong attention to detail, numeracy, and literacy skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Fluent English and eligible to work in Ireland (EU).
