We are looking for a motivated Financial Assistant / Finance Graduate to join our finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent finance or business graduate, or someone with internship or junior finance experience, to gain hands-on experience across financial accounting, reporting, analysis, and compliance while supporting the wider finance function.
Working closely with the Plant Financial Controller and the finance team, you will develop practical experience in month-end processes, reconciliations, reporting, and continuous improvement within a busy manufacturing environment.

Working closely with the Plant Financial Controller and the finance team, you will develop practical experience in month-end processes, reconciliations, reporting, and continuous improvement within a busy manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the month-end close process, including journal preparation and reconciliations.
- Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and ensure reporting deadlines are met.
- Work closely with the Shared Service Centre (GBS) to support plant accounting activities.
- Help prepare financial reports, forecasts, and management information.
- Assist with statutory reporting, Revenue returns, and other compliance activities.
- Provide support during internal and external audits.
- Contribute to maintaining strong internal controls and finance procedures.
- Support KPI reporting and plant performance analysis.
- Assist with process improvement initiatives across the finance department.
- Carry out all duties in line with company health and safety policies.
About You
- Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- Internship, placement year, or up to 2 years' experience in a finance or accounts role.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
