Moulding Engineer – 12-Month Contract
Location: Sligo
We are seeking an experienced Moulding Engineer to join a leading manufacturing operation in Sligo on a 12-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with strong injection moulding experience to work within a highly regulated and technically advanced manufacturing environment.

We are seeking an experienced Moulding Engineer to join a leading manufacturing operation in Sligo on a 12-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with strong injection moulding experience to work within a highly regulated and technically advanced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for injection moulding processes, tooling and equipment.
- Optimise moulding processes to improve quality, yield, cycle times and overall efficiency.
- Troubleshoot moulding and process issues and lead structured root-cause investigations.
- Support mould trials, process validation, qualification and equipment start-up activities.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) and engineering improvement projects.
- Work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance and Tooling teams to resolve technical issues.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, specifications and technical reports.
- Support deviations, CAPAs and change controls where required.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
- Ensure all activities comply with GMP, quality, health & safety and environmental requirements.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Polymer, Plastics Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in injection moulding within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of moulding processes, tooling and process optimisation.
- Experience with validation and qualification activities is highly desirable.
- Experience within a pharmaceutical, medical device or other regulated environment would be advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- A proactive approach with strong attention to detail and a focus on delivering results.
