The Operations Director will play a key role in scaling and optimizing production operations at a high-precision medical device manufacturing facility. Collaborating with senior leadership, this role ensures manufacturing capacity meets growing demand while maintaining top-tier quality and regulatory compliance.

The Operations Director will play a key role in scaling and optimizing production operations at a high-precision medical device manufacturing facility. Collaborating with senior leadership, this role ensures manufacturing capacity meets growing demand while maintaining top-tier quality and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacturing Oversight: Lead all production lines to meet targets in output, quality, and delivery while scaling operations efficiently.
- Operational Excellence: Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent methodologies.
- Quality & Compliance: Partner with QA to align operations with ISO 13485 and regulatory standards.
- Supply Chain: Manage raw materials sourcing, vendor relationships, and inventory control.
- Strategic Planning: Execute capacity planning, capital investment strategies, and tech integration.
- Team Leadership: Build and mentor high-performing, safety-focused production teams.
- 10+ years in manufacturing leadership within precision or regulated industries
- Strong background in toolmaking, machining, or related trades
- Demonstrated success with Lean, Six Sigma, or TPM implementation
- Data-driven problem solver with rapid troubleshooting abilities
- Familiarity with ISO 13485 and FDA standards
- Degree in Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, or related field
- Lean Six Sigma certification (Green or Black Belt)
- Experience with digital manufacturing, CAD/CAM, or Industry 4.0 tools
- Hands-on leadership—comfortable engaging directly with floor teams
- Results-driven and pragmatic
- Strong cross-functional collaborator
- Composed under pressure in dynamic, growth environments
- Future-focused with a proactive mindset
