Job Title: Service Engineer

Position Summary
The Service Engineer is a vital member of the Service Team, responsible for providing high-quality technical support, service, and training to customers and distributors across Europe. This role requires a proactive, customer-focused professional with strong technical expertise and a willingness to travel regularly.

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver on-site technical support across Europe to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
• Fulfil maintenance service contracts at customer locations in the Netherlands and Germany, using the Field Service App to perform required inspections and checks.
• Travel a minimum of two days per week (excluding vacation weeks); some weeks may involve extended travel for customer visits or exhibitions.
• Perform equipment installation and commissioning at customer sites.
• Promote and sell maintenance service contracts during customer visits.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues via phone and email, ensuring all cases are logged accurately in Salesforce.
• Conduct product demonstrations, highlighting equipment operation, features, and benefits—collaborating with the Sales Team as needed.
• Provide technical training to distributors at the Galway facility; attend Galway-based training at least once per quarter for ongoing development.
• Support setup and demonstrations at trade shows and exhibitions across Europe.

Qualifications and Requirements
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Engineering or Electrical certificate/diploma preferred, or willingness to pursue relevant qualifications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and conscientiousness
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other relevant business software (e.g., Salesforce, PDM, JDE, AX)
• Flexible and adaptable to meet dynamic customer and business needs, including frequent travel

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Strong documentation and reporting capabilities
• Self-starter with excellent prioritization and decision-making skills
• Clear and professional communication with internal teams, distributors, and customers
• Readiness and flexibility to travel frequently across Europe, sometimes on short notice
