Engineering Working Foreman
A well-established and growing engineering company is seeking an experienced Engineering Working Foreman to lead workshop operations. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced fabrication environment and enjoys working alongside their team while driving productivity and quality.

You will take ownership of workshop production from planning through to completion, ensuring all work is delivered efficiently, safely, and to a high standard. This position requires a balance of leadership and practical skills, with a strong focus on teamwork and continuous improvement.

The Role
You will take ownership of workshop production from planning through to completion, ensuring all work is delivered efficiently, safely, and to a high standard. This position requires a balance of leadership and practical skills, with a strong focus on teamwork and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead by example, actively participating in fabrication and mechanical fitting tasks
- Plan and coordinate daily production activities to meet project deadlines
- Delegate tasks effectively and monitor progress across multiple jobs
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency
- Carry out quality checks to ensure all work meets required specifications
- Provide regular production updates and reports to management
- Ensure all equipment is maintained and operating safely
- Troubleshoot and resolve any production issues promptly
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workshop environment
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in steel fabrication, including leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong hands-on skills in welding, fabrication, and mechanical fitting
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Proven ability to manage workloads and meet tight deadlines
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Good organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new systems
- Fluent English and eligibility to work in Ireland
